Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
"How much does flight training cost?"
The cost of flight training can vary, and it can be expensive, but I strive to make it as affordable as possible, and because I am an independent instructor, I can offer better rates than most other flight schools. In fact, right now, you can do your first lesson for just $160! You can go to my pricing page for the full cost breakdown.
"Can I bring another person or friend with me on my training flights?"
YES! It is always fun to share the wonder of flight with others! Just know that sometimes this means we have to bring a bigger plane which costs more money. Although our airplanes have 4 seats, we are limited not by room, but by the amount of weight. In some cases, we might not be able to bring an extra person, and on more technical lessons, I would advise against it, because it can be distracting.
"Where do you fly out of?"
The Airplanes that I use for flight instruction are based out of the Ogden Hinckley Airport (KOGD) Ogden is a great airport to learn at. It has a control tower and the airspace is rather complex. This really helps new pilots develop radio etiquette with air traffic control (ATC) and bolsters confidence and situational awareness from the very beginning.
"How long does flight training take?"
It really depends how often you are willing to fly. If you fly 2-3 times a week, you can get your private pilot's license in as little as 2 or 3 months. But flying less frequently will draw out the process.
"Do you offer financing?"
I do not offer financing directly, but there are avenues that you can go through to get financing for flight training. We can talk more about them together.
